| PUBLISHNG DEAL AHOY! |

It looks like I've finally landed myself a publishing deal, fuck yes!
I submitted "The Worse Night Ever" to KHP Industries for their Black Death Books line back in I think 2005 or 2006. Anyway, it was a long time ago, and I'd pretty much given up on them after their anthology I was to be published in was canceled.
Well, last week I got an e-mail saying that they want my book and they want to make it a series.
SQUEE!
Just one problem.
I gotta re-title the first book.
Jesus fuck.
I can't title SHIT.
Hell, my first fanfiction was "An Angel/Highlander Crossover". Seriously, you can go look it up on the Pit of Voles if you don't believe me. Then you can go read how I wrote at 15 and snort at the horridness of it.
Still, to those who've read that story, any idea for a more marketable title?
For those who haven't, it's about Forest protecting a coven of witches from being wiped out by Hawk Hunters and his werewolf flunkies, who were hired by . . . an asshole. |

Congratulations!
...although I suck at titling too, so I don't really have any idea on that matter.
Wow!! Grats on getting a publisher :D As for a title, hmm maybe something like The Watchful Eye of the Forest? or The Predators of Witches? or maybe The Guardian Forest, I don't know these are probably kinda gay but maybe they helped your creative sparks fly? :) Good luck with a title!
HOLY SHIT ITS A JACKIE!
But thank you!
And . . . that may lead on to something.
Congratulations!! I'm so happy for you <3 Best of luck with the titling, titles are hard ;_;
Yay, it's a Miggly Mao!
Actually, I came up with one eating at Jimmy Johns. So, how's Florida?
Good to hear.
Florida is great so far, but I have a bladder infection at the moment >< Lucky me. Apart from that it's pretty awesome here <3
Jesus that blows. You drinking cranberry juice?
And you haven't been eaten by gators or sharks, so that's good too!
Yep! Cranberry juice and about twice as much water as usual ^^; I'm avoiding anything like soda and caffeine too.
I should post some pictures of the beach for you to see, it's really gorgeous here!
Congradulations, I know how much this means to you! I'd help with the title, but the summary you gave is really too general to think of a title that showcases what makes your story unique or at least captures people's attention. Short and sweet is usually good, though.
I got one, and why the hell aren't you online?!
Work calls. Doing this from my phone.
Ah, well, when you get off, get your ass online and talk to me!
Wow, for a while there I thought it was gonna be in limbo of sorts. Congrats!
...but alas, I can't really suggest a title that wasn't clearly influenced by my pretentious indie upbringing. D: | |
